Michael R. Lee

I am going to revisit a few questions regarding the hCG program that people might still be wondering about. The first is how does hCG cause weight loss? The answer is that it doesn’t and no one who knows what they are talking about has ever claimed that it does directly. The sole purpose of the hCG is to mobilize fat stores. It is the low calorie diet that causes the weight loss.

Some might suggest that the hCG is only offering a placebo effect but this is impossible in this instance. Simply put, people who attempt a 500 calorie a day diet without hCG are miserable, ravenous and look sick. Those who do it with the hCG are comfortable, hunger-free and look robust. This fact alone removes hCG from the definition of ‘placebo’. It does something clinically measurable.

Most nutritionists, fitness gurus and a vast number of physicians recoil in horror when introduced to the concept of a 500 calorie a day diet. I can identify as that was my first reaction. However, once I got into the mechanics of the program I had to admit that technically it was a very high calorie diet. You only eat 500 calories per day but your body releases and burns an additional 1800 to 3500 calories from its fat stores.

While losing weight on the diet is easy it’s only half the battle. Some people question whether the weight loss on our hCG program is permanent. The fact is, with very minor lifestyle changes, the vast majority of our clients stay within a couple of pounds of their final weight.

Mainstream advice remains “the only healthy way to lose weight is diet and exercise”. This advice is often pointless. Exercise is simply impossible for some people. Often it is their size and level of fitness that makes it impossible. Vigorous exercise is discouraged on this program.

Even the ultimate pragmatist, Dr. Oz recommended that based on its safely record and the glowing results, the program is worth undertaking. I agree with Dr. Oz on another point. This is not a program that should be undertaken lightly. Your product should come from a reliable source such as your doctor and it should not be undertaken without an experienced, knowledgeable physician and coach in your corner.
